Environmental Damage And Its Impacts

Poojitha Prajeeshkumar 12 B

Myself Poojitha Prajeesh, student of class 12B, I’ve always loved rivers and
greenery, but it hurts to see these now under threat. Climate change has made monsoons so unpredictable—either it floods or barely rains.

My grandparents, who depend on farming, often struggle because of this.
Our rivers, once clear, now carry plastic and waste. It’s upsetting to see villagers drinking from or washing in polluted water. Even our forests, where my family loved trekking, are shrinking because of deforestation.

As someone who loves nature and animals, these issues feel personal. I try to reduce waste and spread awareness because saving our environment isn’t just about nature—it’s about protecting the lives of people we care about.
