“WHAT MENTAL HEALTH MEANS IS MORE SUNLIGHT, MORE CANDOR, MORE UNASHAMED CONVERSATION”

– Glenn Close

Use your voice and creativity to smash the stigma around mental health. And that’s what Armaan Farooqui, a student of grade 10-J achieved. He participated in the International competition ‘Its All In The Mind –The Speech Challenge’ held by Mind Champs in collaboration with Spill The Beans, worldwide platform( TED Talk for Kids) a competition that aims to make the youth’s voice on mental health topics heard, loud, and clear.

Contestants were expected to create a video ( 60-90 seconds) demonstrating any psychological condition which covered the theory/concept behind it and propose a suggestion on how individuals with this condition can be integrated into mainstream society. The participants were welcome to use any creative means to make the video interesting to the audience while sticking to the scientific facts.

With over 50+ registrants from different countries, Armaan was awarded the 2nd Prize in the Blossoms Category (ages 13-18) for his innovative speech on “Depression in Teens”.
