Music has a profound effect on both the emotions and the body. Music makes us feel more optimistic and positive about life.

Health and Mind Club presented “Happy Hours” on 19th  October 2021. This session aimed to promote mental health awareness and instill a sense of positive wellbeing in students through music. The theme of the concert was Resilience.

Emin Binu, President and Armaan Kanchan , Vice President , Health & Mind Club welcomed all the teachers and students and spoke about the importance of mental healthThe Imperium band comprising grade 12 students, Aneesh Seth (12H) Ashvin Vinod Kaimal,  Aman Reddy , Prashanth Reddy,(12I) and Ashlin Roji(12J) performed to an enthusiastic crowd of teachers and students of grades 9 to 12(Boys).

The band started the concert with Lean on me, a song which is an anthem for Togetherness and Resilience. It’s a song that many people can relate, to surround yourself with people who will be there for you when you need a hand. It’s these strong bonds and friendships that keep us going and help us believe in ourselves when we’re feeling down. The rendition of Don’t stop me and Photograph had the crowd dancing away.

The concert concluded by a song written and composed by Ashvin Vinod aptly titled, Open your heart. This was a message to everyone to seek help and have open conversations around mental health.

The lively and enthusiastic students swayed to the music played by the  band. The songs were selected keeping in mind the purpose of promoting an environment of positive wellbeing in school.
